What is the Residency Directory?

The residency online directory is a valuable resource to potential residents, residency program directors, and pharmacists listing all ASHP-accredited, candidate, and pre-candidate pharmacy residency programs. The directory includes important program information including: accreditation status, sponsoring organization, geographic location, residency special features, training site type, program type, specialty category, and stipend/benefits to name just a few. It is the single, most up-to-date resource for accredited pharmacy residencies both in the United States and internationally.

The purpose of the ASHP accreditation program is to identify and grant public recognition to practice sites having pharmacy residency training programs that have been evaluated and found to meet the qualifications of ASHP’s residency accreditation standards. Thus, accreditation of a pharmacy residency program by ASHP provides a means of assurance to residency applicants that a program meets certain basic requirements and is, therefore, an acceptable site for postgraduate training in pharmacy practice in an organized health care setting.
