COVID-19 Vaccination

Vaccination remains the most powerful tool to prevent COVID-19 and stop community spread. FIU urges all Panthers to get the COVID-19 vaccine – for you as well as for your classmates, colleagues, families and the health of the greater community.

COVID-19 vaccines at FIU

On-campus

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, retirees and eligible members of their households can access vaccines on our on-campus clinics: the Student Health Center for students and the Ambulatory Care Center for faculty and staff.

Individuals interested in getting vaccinated must make an appointment by phone . Students can call FI U Student Health Services at 305-348-8385. Faculty, staff and other members of the community may contact FIU Health at 305-348-3627.

FIU Health and the Student Health Clinics have first and second doses of the vaccine for those eligible. Also, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has authorized an updated booster vaccine (bivalent booster) that targets both the original strain and Omicron variants. Updated boosters are available at FIU Health and the Student Health Clinics. Please call for an appointment.

Don't forget to bring your CDC card (for a second dose appointment) and your personal ID.

Alternate vaccination sites

Florida residents have a number of sites where they can get vaccinated. See below for a few sample locations.

Miami-Dade County also offers a pre-registration system to allow eligible individuals interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at Miami-Dade County-run locations to complete a one-time registration via the phone or online. Visit here to complete your pre-registration online or call 305-614-2014.

Lost vaccine card

If you've lost your COVID vaccine card, don't worry. There are several ways you can request a copy of the card or a copy of your immunization records through Florida SHOTS. Your immunization record can act as a replacement for a lost card.

To obtain a replacement, you can contact your healthcare provider (any provider that administers vaccines) or your county health department. If you are 18 or older, you may also request your record directly from Florida SHOTS by filling out this form .
